Job summary

BayCare Med Group Indian Rocks is seeking a Medical Office Representative for a full-time, 6:15 AM to 3:15 PM shift. The role involves patient check-in, answering inquiries, and supporting the office team in a busy multi-specialty setting across Tampa Bay and west central Florida.

Responsibilities include collecting payments, posting, and assisting with billing questions while maintaining encounter forms and patient records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience or 6 months in customer service.
• Prior medical front desk experience preferred.
• Ability to greet and assist patients and answer inquiries.

• Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
• Shift: Mon - Fri 6:15 AM - 3:15 PM

The Medical Office Rep is responsible for:

• Supports the physician's office health care team
• Greets and signs in patients
• Assists with patient inquiries
• May arrange for other procedures
• Laboratory and consultations with referral doctors
• Collects and posts payments
• Assists patients with billing questions
• Ensures completeness of encounter form prior to patient checkout
• Sorts and distributes mail
• Copies medical records

Required Education:

• High School or Equivalent

RequiredExperience:

• Required 6 months of healthcare
• Or 6 months of Customer Service
• Highly preferred medical front desk experience
