Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years of experience in a physician practice preferred.
• Medical Office Assistant program preferred.
• Healthcare management certification preferred.
• EMR/EHR experience with NextGen or Athena preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.
• Collecting patient demographics and verifying insurance.
• Processing referrals and performing charge entry with daily reconciliation.
• Managing medical records and coordinating daily office operations.
• Overseeing front desk activities and ensuring courteous patient interactions.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

5 years of experience in a Physician Practice

Medical Office Assistant program

Healthcare management/administration certification

EMR/EHR experience (NextGen or Athena)

Proficiency in Windows (Word, Outlook, Internet)
