Job Opportunity: Medical Office Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced medical practice manager for a growth-oriented multi-site dermatology practice in the New York area. This position requires a hands-on manager with exceptional communication skills, comprehensive knowledge of office operations, human resource management, business development, and financial oversight. Candidates should have five to seven years of progressive leadership experience.

We are a solo private practice seeking a dynamic, experienced, self-motivated, and knowledgeable Medical Office Manager with excellent managerial, administrative, and communication skills.

Ideal candidate criteria include:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in hospitality or medical management;

Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures;
  • Knowledge of health insurance policies, including copays, coinsurances, referrals, and insurance verification;
  • Handling patient records discretely and updating demographic and financial information;
  • Protecting and securing medical records;
  • Utilizing EMR systems, medical coding, and billing relevant to the practice;
  • Overseeing billing and collections;
  • Working effectively with vendors;
  • Managing inventory and equipment;
  • Exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Creative thinking and multitasking abilities;
  • Ability to work with diverse populations;
  • Good time management skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheets;
