Luminis Health is seeking an Office Assistant in Annapolis, MD to greet and register patients, schedule appointments, and assist with checkout on a computerized practice management system.

In this role you will maintain and safeguard patient records, support smooth patient flow, and provide excellent customer service in person or by phone, collaborating with the office staff and physicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; accredited training preferred.
• One year of clerical/billing experience in a medical office preferred.
• Customer service experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and accurately registers patients into the practice management system.
• Performs scanning and abstracting duties.
• Obtains patient records from various offices and hospitals as needed.
• Answers and screens office calls, schedules appointments, takes messages and redirects calls as appropriate.
