Skyline Gastroenterology is recruiting a Medical Office Assistant for our Jackson, TN clinic. This role requires front office experience and knowledge of medical terminology, with BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Prior experience in a front office capacity preferred.
• BLS certification required – but eligible to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, assess needs and direct accordingly.
• Answer phone and route calls as needed.
• Verify and enter patient demographics in the EMR.
• Check for necessary referrals.
• Complete and file patient forms and assemble charts.
• Schedule visits, procedures, and tests as requested.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances at visit time.
• Maintain front desk and reception areas.
