Job Responsibilities
- Schedule and reschedule appointments and diagnostic tests using computerized programs.
- Collect and record vital signs.
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Document patient care activities.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Accept payments, co-pays, and fees during registration.
- Reconcile co-payments and cash receipts if required.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies, external agencies, patients, physicians, and team members.
- Coordinate patient transfers and hospital admissions as needed.
- Handle calls, requests for information, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain examination areas and perform patient registration, check-out, pre-certifications, and appointment confirmations.
- Retrieve and file records, ensure proper release of information, and manage records archival and retrieval.
- Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
- Greet patients and prepare them for procedures.
- Perform order entry as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- No experience required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (various options listed) required upon hire.
- BLS certification required within 90 days.

Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and repetitive hand movements.
- Occasional sitting, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and carrying.
- Rare lifting over 75 lbs.
