Job summary

Apex Electronics Talent in Stoughton, MA is seeking a seasoned Mold Tooling Engineering Manager to lead design and production of medical cable assemblies and connectors, with a focus on injection-molded components.

You will manage the internal tool shop, perform DFM assessments, collaborate with global partners, and oversee tool design with domestic and international mold shops. This role offers a competitive salary and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in mold design, tooling, or toolmaking.
• Associate's degree or higher in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience collaborating with global manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the internal tool shop coordinating toolmakers and mold design engineers.
• Conduct DFM assessments to ensure optimal product design standards.
• Design, assess, and refine injection molds for medical connector components and cable assemblies.
• Formulate tooling concepts with gating, venting, cooling, and surface finishes.
• Collaborate with product engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Engage with external mold shops domestically and internationally to oversee design and qualification.
• Address tooling challenges and update designs as needed.
