Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of mold design, tooling or toolmaking experience.
• Associate degree or higher in engineering/manufacturing or related field; hands-on experience accepted.
• SolidWorks 3D CAD proficiency.
• DFM and tooling feasibility review experience.
• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience collaborating with global manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage an internal tool shop, coordinating with toolmakers and mold design engineers.
• Conduct DFM reviews to ensure optimal product designs.
• Design and evaluate injection molds for medical connector components and cable assemblies.
• Develop tooling concepts, including gating, venting, cooling, and surface finishes.
• Collaborate with product engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with external mold shops, domestically and offshore, during design and qualification processes.
• Resolve tooling-related issues and facilitate design updates as needed.
