Calqulate in Stoughton, MA is seeking an accomplished Mold Tooling Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the design and production of medical cable assemblies and connector components. You will guide in-house tooling, perform DFM reviews, and coordinate with external mold shops to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.

A strong background in injection mold design and SolidWorks is essential.

Formación

• Associate degree or higher in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in mold design, tooling, or toolmaking.
• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with global manufacturing partners.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage an in-house tool shop with toolmakers and mold design engineers.
• Perform DFM reviews to optimize designs for production.
• Design and assess injection molds for medical connector components and cable assemblies.
• Develop tooling concepts including gating, venting, cooling, and surface finishes.
• Collaborate with product engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with external mold shops (domestic and offshore) during design and qualification.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and manage design revisions.
