Job summary

Wilson Elser in Seattle seeks a Medical Malpractice and Healthcare Defense Attorney to join our regional defense team. You will handle medical malpractice and healthcare provider litigation, work with partners, and develop trial-ready strategies in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has a JD, WA admission, at least 2 years in defense litigation (preferably medical malpractice), strong writing and oral advocacy, and a commitment to client service within a nationally recognized firm

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to practice in the state of WA.
• Minimum of 2 years defense litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice or healthcare defense.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload focused on medical malpractice claims.
• Collaborate with attorneys and partners on strategic projects.
• Attend court appearances, depositions, motions, and trial participation.
• Maintain regular client communication with case updates and proactive solutions.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and settlements.
• Support case strategies and trial preparation for negotiations.
