Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an Associate Attorney with a focus on medical malpractice to join a well-respected Puget Sound litigation team. The role offers meaningful courtroom exposure, direct client interaction, and a clear path for professional growth within a collaborative setting.

You will handle diverse civil litigation matters, including medical malpractice, with in-depth trial preparation and opportunities for depositions and hearings.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Washington State Bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation and/or medical malpractice experience.
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial strategy.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Proven experience handling litigation matters with increasing independence.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, legal research platforms, and related legal technology tools.
• Strong client service orientation and professional communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while working effectively with remote colleagues.
• Reliable attendance, responsiveness, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters.
• Represent clients in complex litigation, including medical malpractice and liability matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, and trial preparation activities.
• Collaborate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Develop litigation strategies and contribute to case evaluation and risk assessment.
• Work closely with experienced trial attorneys to strengthen courtroom advocacy skills.
