Effingham Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist to work under the general direction of the Laboratory Director. The incumbent will independently perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, test on medical specimens, input data, and report results in compliance with TJC and state guidelines.

The role requires strong communication with medical staff and other departments, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to function semi-autonomously in a dynamic hospital setting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related life sciences with credits meeting registry requirements (ASCP/AMT/AAB).
• Certification or registry as MT/MLS by ASCP, AMT or AAB according to state regulations.
• Two years of pertinent laboratory experience; hospital-based experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs routine and complex laboratory procedures independently.
• Collects and transports specimens; labels and records specimens per procedures.
• Input data into the computer and report results in accordance with guidelines and policies.

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, clinical laboratory science, biomedical science or related life sciences
