Job summary

Wellstar Health System at Columbia County Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist for FT Evening shift, 40 hours per week. The role requires performing clinical laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and quality, and maintaining equipment and records in a fast-paced hospital laboratory.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field, MT(ASCP) or equivalent licensure, and at least 1 year of lab experience, with strong data entry and computer skills and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Medical Science required; master's preferred.
• Must possess active licensure/certifications as MT(ASCP) or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing according to established protocols with independent judgment.
• Maintain instruments and records; conduct quality assurance activities.
• Possess instruction and supervise or train within the laboratory setting as needed.
