Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or related life sciences is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or related life sciences is required.
• ASCP certification or eligibility required upon hire (preferred).
• Experience preferred; recent graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates specimens and test orders for acceptability and determines rejections according to guidelines.
• Maintains positive identity of all patient specimens and aliquots throughout the analytical process.
• Follows laboratory procedures for handling, processing, analyses and reporting; enters and verifies results.
• Performs and records tests under supervision according to Lab policy.
• Demonstrates knowledge and independent judgement; may supervise less experienced staff.
