Job summary

Angel Medical Center seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine and complex lab analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids with minimal supervision. The role supports quality control and ensures accurate results in a busy hospital lab.

Required ASCP certification (or equivalent) with registry eligibility if not yet certified, and an associate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. Prior exemption rules may apply for hires before Oct 1, 2016.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field from an accredited institution.
• ASCP certification or equivalent; if not certified at hire, registry eligible and must become certified within 1 year.
• Employees hired before Oct 1, 2016 may be exempt from certification if they meet CLIA qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex lab analyses and/or identification procedures on blood, tissue, and body fluids with minimal supervision.
• Assists management in monitoring quality control data to ensure results or procedures are accurate and precise.
