Job summary

Lifepoint Health in Lake Havasu City, AZ seeks a Medical Technologist to perform diagnostic testing and support physicians in diagnosis and monitoring of diseases. You will follow standardized procedures, prepare samples, and operate laboratory equipment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and licensure to reflect education; ASCP or AMT licensure preferred. You will report to the Director of Laboratory Services and work in a fast-paced environment.

11125 Medical Technologist
Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states.
Reports to: Director of Laboratory Services
FLSA: Non-exempt
Education: Bachelor's degree Preferred
License: Medical Technologist License through ASCP or AMT Preferred ; Licensure to reflect education requirement
Certifications: N/A

Essential Functions
Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing.
Collects samples and analyze bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities. Collects blood and study blood samples used in transfusions
Operates laboratory equipment in a high-quality, effective manner.
Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits, and reports/documents results per organizational standards.
Performs automated tests using computerized instruments & automated equipment.
Runs tests and analyzes the results to be reported to the physician or registered nurse.
Performs Quality Assurance work to ensure accuracy of equipment.
