Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician I in Tampa, FL, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role involves performing routine analytical tests under supervision with a focus on quality control and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a clinical laboratory or similar setting.
• Knowledge of SOPs, quality control, and turnaround time management.
• Ability to follow CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report on assigned analytical tests under supervision, ensuring QC requirements.
• May perform moderate complexity testing with appropriate training.
• Maintain accurate records of patient test results and reports.
• Adhere to schedules to meet turnaround times including STAT results.
• Ensure reagents have received dates, expiration dates, and opened dates.
• Document QC analyses and decisions for assay validity.
• Inform supervisors of issues in test performance and cooperate with investigations.
• Enter results into LIS for standardized physician review.
