Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Technician V to support our client’s medical facility based in Nashville, TN 37236. This is a 10-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Medical Lab Technician V

Location: Nashville, TN 37236

Pay Range: $35- $38 per hour

Schedule: Monday- Friday rotating every 3rd weekend. 6am-2:30pm or 10pm-6am

1st and 3rd Shift Available

Duration: 10 Months +

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing patient testing for busy Core Lab working Hematology, coagulation, chemistry, and urinalysis.
• Performing patient testing, bone marrow collection, staining, processing.
• Supporting Hematology, Coagulation, Urine analysis, high-volume testing, supporting mothers and babies, Oncology Floor, Dispatch or accessioning, some Microbiology and respiratory testing.

Education:

• Preferably a bachelor’s degree; MLT certification is acceptable.
• Certifications: ASCP or AMT.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science, OR
• BS in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science from an accredited college or university with at least 1 year of training or experience in the relevant testing specialty; such training must be equivalent to that received in a Medical Technology school.
• OR 90 Semester hours from an accredited institution including at least 16 hours of Biology, 16 hours of Chemistry (including at least 6 hours of inorganic Chemistry), and 3 hours of Math, along with completion of an accredited Clinical Laboratory training program or 1 year of documented Clinical Laboratory Training or experience in the relevant testing specialty.
• OR an Associate’s degree in medical technology.
