Medical Laboratory Technician – Hematology (Contract)

Location: Detroit, MI – On site (no remote)

Contract Length: 13 weeks (3+ months)

Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens.
• Performs manual techniques and utilizes laboratory instruments and information systems.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
• Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).
• Minimum 2–3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience with urinalysis, coagulation testing, and manual differentials.
• Experience with Beckman Coulter or Stago equipment (DXU system preference). Sunquest LIS experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and technical proficiency with laboratory functions.
