Job summary

Select Source International is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT/MLS) for a 13-week contract assignment in Detroit, MI. This role focuses on the Chemistry department, performing complex laboratory testing to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic results in a high-volume clinical environment. Candidates should possess an Associate Degree, relevant certifications, and at least 2–3 years of experience in a laboratory setting. Familiarity with Beckman Coulter equipment is preferred. Competitive pay of $50–$52/hour is offered.

Qualifications

Shift: 5x8s Rotation | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex chemistry testing and analysis
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through quality control procedures
• Review and verify lab data prior to release
• Maintain compliance with laboratory policies, safety, and regulatory standards
• Document patient results and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers
• Assist with workflow efficiency and process improvements

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science
• Certification from a recognized agency (ASCP or NCA)
