Medical Lab Technician

Location: Detroit, MI | Pay: $36-$39/hr | Duration: 13 weeks | Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm

Under direct supervision by a laboratory technologist or supervisor, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, using manual techniques or laboratory instruments and information systems. May perform phlebotomy as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle specimens in a clinical lab environment, ensuring proper sample receipt and accessioning.
• Operate laboratory instruments and use LIS (Epic, Sunquest, CoPathPlush) to conduct tests, primarily prenatal testing.
• Maintain PPE and observe laboratory safety protocols.
