Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist for the North Float pool in Austin, TX. Under supervision, performs routine laboratory tests to aid diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. May perform phlebotomy and ensure quality control in a compliant lab environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of CLIA regulations.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
• May perform phlebotomy functions.
• Maintain QC documentation and proficiency testing records.
• Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and company policies.
• Ensure patient test results are accurate and reported promptly.
