Medical Lab Tech – Contract Position

Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for the Medical Lab Tech position to support our client's healthcare facility in Austin, TX. This is a Contract opportunity— a great way to join a top-tier healthcare organization and advance your career!

Location: Austin, TX
Shift: 4x10 Nights
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Weekly Gross: $1500

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform generalist laboratory testing including hematology, urinalysis (UA), and coagulation
• Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and instrumentation
• Ensure accuracy and quality control of test results
• Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and compliance standards
• Accurately document and report results using Meditech
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care
• Troubleshoot equipment and escalate issues as needed
• Maintain workflow efficiency during night shift operations

Required Skills & Experience

• Generalist laboratory experience
• Recent acute care hospital laboratory experience
• Ability to independently manage workload on night shift

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Meditech experience (strongly encouraged)
• Experience with Siemens Atellica, Sysmex XN, IRIS DxU, ACL TOPS, or TEG systems
• Prior travel or contract laboratory experience

Education Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology

Certifications & Licensure

• ASCP, AMT, or equivalent national laboratory certification
• Current and unrestricted certification eligible to work in Texas
