Job summary

Providence Swedish Edmonds is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform assays accurately and timely on patient samples, supporting physician diagnosis and treatment. You will follow established policies and safety standards to keep the laboratory compliant with accreditation requirements.

We seek candidates with an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent and national certifications (ASCP MLS or AMT MT).

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent.
• Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP, or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - AMT, or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - ASCP

Responsibilities

• Performs assays accurately and timely on patient samples using automated and manual testing procedures.
• Monitors compliance with departmental policies, safety, and infection control standards.

Performs assays accurately and timely on patient samples using a variety of automated and manual testing procedures to aid the physician in patient diagnosis and treatment. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.
