Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological or chemical science required by CLIA.
• Strong scientific foundation and advanced technical proficiency expected.
• Commitment to accuracy and regulatory adherence required.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived, moderately complex, and highly complex tests on patient specimens following SOPs to ensure accurate reporting.
• Provides clinical correlation of results and notifies caregivers of critical values within turn-around times.
• Maintains and troubleshoots major automated equipment; contacts vendors for repair when needed.
• Performs calibration and quality control procedures and documents results.
• Participates in proficiency testing and reviews results with laboratory leads.
• Assists in evaluating and documenting validation of new procedures and equipment.
