Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform and report analyses from multiple specimen sources to support high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities include specimen collection, instrument maintenance, and quality control, with opportunities to train new staff and engage in ongoing education. A bachelor’s degree in MLS or related field is required, and a sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science or related field.
• Graduates of an accredited Medical Technology/MLS program or equivalent certification.
• Ability to perform analyses accurately, handle specimens properly, and recognize discrepancies.
• Competency in instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
• Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple applications.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and competency exams.
• Work in a clinical environment with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates.
• Educational requirements include a bachelor’s degree, with preferred specialization in Medical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Managing specimen collection, identification, accessioning, and proper handling
• Performing instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control
• Replenishing reagents and supplies, following established procedures
• Utilizing computer applications for reporting and documentation
• Assisting in training new staff and participating in ongoing education
• Ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining productivity standards
