Job summary

Brigham and Women\'s Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for the Day shift. The role involves testing under CLIA, supervising operations as needed, and ensuring accurate results used in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology required or Bachelor's Degree Laboratory Sciences required and Other Certificate/Diploma Clinical Laboratory Sciences required

Responsibilities

• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested the same as patient samples.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations and maintenance.
• Follow corrective action policies when test systems are not within performance levels.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisors or directors.
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specifications.
