Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II (Day Shift) to perform waived and non-waived testing under CLIA guidelines.

The role requires independent work, accurate result reporting, and adherence to department SOPs to support provider diagnoses and treatment decisions. The position includes a 24-hour work week with a day shift, onsite location at 1153 Centre Street, and a sign-on bonus of $10,000 for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology required or Bachelor's Degree Laboratory Sciences required and Other Certificate/Diploma Clinical Laboratory Sciences required
• Lab experience 1-2 years required
• Medical Technologist (ASCP) certification or equivalent preferred

Responsabilités

• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples.
• Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.
• Follow corrective action policies whenever test systems are not within established performance levels.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and take corrective action or notify supervisor or director.
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specifications.
