Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; associate’s degree with two years of related experience may substitute.
• Successful completion of an approved clinical laboratory training internship.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates specimens for quality and preanalytical errors.
• Verifies results and quality control data for accuracy and reliability.
• Performs, evaluates, and documents QC, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Receives general guidance and direction on moderately complex procedures.
• Communicates critical results to the patient caregiver.
• Assists in training of new team members and students.
