Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology required.
• Or Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts with NAACLS-accredited MLS/MT/CLS program certificate required.
• 1 year of experience in applicable section of laboratory preferred.
• Medical Technologist (MT) or MLS certification from ASCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Accurately perform, evaluate appropriateness and report tests on patient specimens.
• Maintain quality control and calibration documentation.
• Ensure biosafety and PPE guidelines are followed.
• Coordinate with staff to meet accreditation requirements.
• Document orientation, training and education to ensure competence.
