Atlantic Health System is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to work under the supervision of a CLIA General Supervisor in both the Core Lab and Blood Bank. The role involves processing specimens, performing high/moderate complexity testing, and ensuring accurate results in a compliant, efficient workflow.

The position focuses on quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and collaboration with clinical teams to support patient care and safety.

Formación

• Under supervision of a CLIA General Supervisor, performs high/moderate complexity testing.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and maintains quality control records.
• Collaborates with Core Lab and Blood Bank teams to support patient care.
• Operates and troubleshoots instrumentation per SOPs.

Responsabilidades

• Specimen processing and accessioning per guidelines.
• Specimen testing following approved SOPs.
• Result reporting and correlation with diagnosis as applicable.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot technical equipment per SOPs.
• Participate in proficiency testing and ensure samples are treated as patient samples.
• Inventory management and rotating stock to ensure availability.
• Assist with training of team members and students.
• Adhere to Atlantic Health and department safety procedures.
