Qualifications

• Additional: Certification eligible by ASCP/AMT/NCA/AAB; ability to work under stress and irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality specimens with correct patient identification and proper documentation.
• Maintain and update instruments; be familiar with operations and limits.
• Assure accurate results via quality control and troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform testing timely to meet stat, urgent, and routine turnaround times; validate results before reporting.
• Ensure department CAP standards are maintained at all times.
• Follow safety standards and safe work practices.
• Assist in continuing education and procedure updates.
