Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification (MLT) required within 18 months of employment from ASCP, NCA, AMT or AAB.
• Requires BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and advanced laboratory procedures across neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Calibrates, standardizes, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots instruments; performs quality control.
• Documents results, QC, proficiency testing, and specimen handling.
• Adheres to infection control and safety practices.
• Trains and teaches theory/practical applications as directed by management.
• Manages inventories and stocks supplies; ensures proper storage and handling.
• Serves as primary/secondary responsible person for assigned areas or instruments.
• Responds to inquiries about results, methodology, and billing/errors.
