Job summary

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences in Needham, MA is seeking an experienced Medical Technician for a temporary role to perform complex laboratory testing supporting patient diagnosis and treatment. The position is based in Needham, MA, with a Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule and a pay rate of $37.50/hour.

The role requires a B.S. in a related field and CAP competency clearance, with responsibilities spanning chemistry, hematology, microscopy, bacteriology, and quality control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
• Must meet CAP competency assessment education/experience requirements.
• Experience evaluating the complexity of laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, morphology, cytology, urinalysis, serology, histology, bacteriology.
• Operate analytical instruments and equipment used for complex testing.
• Analyze and interpret test results and correlate with patient history and clinical condition.
• Enter laboratory findings into computer systems.
• Perform quality-control studies to ensure data accuracy.
• Conduct routine instrument maintenance and calibration checks.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and document corrective actions.
