UW Health Belvidere Hospital, 1625 S State St, Belvidere, IL, seeks a Medical Lab Technician/Scientist to perform diagnostic laboratory testing across multiple specialties. You will use advanced instrumentation and collaborate with physicians to deliver timely results that guide patient care.

This 90% FTE role runs 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, three days per week, with rotating weekends and holidays. The compensation package includes PTO, health/dental/vision, retirement, disability, parental leave, tuition

Formación

• Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical technology is required.
• Must provide copy of high school diploma or equivalent; required.

Work Schedule:

90% FTE, 7am - 730pm, 3 days a week. Rotating weekends and holidays. You will work at UW Health Belvidere Hospital 1625 S State St Belvidere IL.

We are currently seeking a Medical Lab Technician/Scientist to:

• Perform diagnostic laboratory testing across multiple specialties, helping provide critical results that support patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Utilize advanced laboratory technology and instrumentation while ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and reliability.
• Partner with physicians, caregivers, and laboratory professionals to deliver timely information that impacts patient care.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through quality assurance, troubleshooting, process enhancement, and ongoing professional development.

Additional components of compensation may include:

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical technology. Required
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required

Work Experience

• One year experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or relevant laboratory experience. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Medical Laboratory Technician certification by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or similar agency preferred. Preferred
