Job summary

UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, IL seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist for 100% FTE, Mon–Fri 3:00 pm–11:30 pm with rotating weekends and holidays. Requires MLS or clinical lab science degree; ASCP certification preferred. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical or laboratory science is required.
• MLS degree is preferred or higher degree is advantageous.
• Certification by ASCP or equivalent is preferred.

Work Schedule

100% FTE, Monday-Friday 3:00 pm-11:30 pm, rotating weekends and holiday. You will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology. Required
• Bachelor's Degree in medical laboratory science (MLS). Preferred
• Master's Degree in medical laboratory science (MLS). Preferred

Work Experience

• No minimum experience required.
• 1 year healthcare or lab related work experience. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certification (Medical Lab Science, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Banking, Molecular Biology) by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)or similar agency preferred. Preferred
