You will perform tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, serology, and blood banking, collect specimens, and help maintain quality and safety standards in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• GS-4 requires six months general experience and six months specialized experience.
• GS-4 OR education options including associate degree with certified lab assistant program.
• GS-5 requires one year specialized experience or bachelor's degree or combination.
• GS-6 requires one year specialized experience in standard tests and QA.
• GS-7 requires one year specialized experience equivalent to GS-6 with extensive duties.
• Education section clarifies no formal degree required but may substitute transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, serology, and blood banking.
• Evaluate test results and troubleshoot procedures to ensure accurate results.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain laboratory instruments and prepare reagents.
• Collect and process patient specimens and track in laboratory information systems.
• Support quality assurance and compliance with CAP, CLIA, and safety requirements.
