TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform tests on blood, urine, and body fluids to aid in patient diagnosis and care. The role includes quality control, specimen handling, and collaboration with clinicians across units.

The ideal candidate has an AS degree or equivalent and may be registered with ASCP or AMT. Strong computer and lab skills are essential, with the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualificações

• AS Degree or equivalent with a Medical Technician internship at an affiliated hospital
• Preferably registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or AMT or equivalent
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to perform work that requires prolonged standing/walking.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze body fluids in chemistry, serology, toxicology, and related fields to aid in diagnosis.
• Perform microscopic analysis of cells in hematology and clinical microscopy.
• Analyze blood for transfusion medicine to support blood supply and diagnosis.
• Identify pathogens in microbiology, mycology, mycobacteriology, virology, and parasitology.
• Perform quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting on analyzers and methods.
