Job summary

TriCities Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. This role requires a Bachelor's or Associate degree with MT certification and ASCP certification within six months of hire.

The position emphasizes competency across lab sections and adherence to Joint Commission standards. You will participate in ongoing training, maintain quality control, and support instrument maintenance and safety checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technologist or related science is required.
• Associate's Degree with MT Certification will be accepted in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
• Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Know, understand, and implement general lab policies and department procedures.
• Assess situations and act independently with minimal supervision.
• Complete competency in designated lab sections and participate in proficiency testing.
• Train new employees and students in lab policies and procedures.
• Maintain quality control within limits and document corrective actions.
