Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology, or eligible military medical laboratory training with Medical Laboratory Specialist.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by ASCP or AMT within 90 days of hire; state licensure if required by law.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens and reports results.
• Conducts quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ensures compliance with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements.
• Assists with laboratory projects and serves as a resource to staff.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Education

Associate's degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology

High school graduate with U.S. military medical laboratory training and Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician)
