This Medical Laboratory Technician will join a stable, community-supported healthcare organization known for attentive care, clinical safety, dependable diagnostic services, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration. The hospital promotes continuous improvement, listens to frontline professionals, and supports ongoing education, professional development, and expanded technical skills. A close-knit environment gives the Medical Laboratory Technologist meaningful visibility, autonomy, and opportunities to make an immediate difference in patient outcomes.

The Medical Lab Technician will work in a Clinical Laboratory that is committed to compassionate patient-centered care and high-quality diagnostic services. The lab emphasizes accuracy, safety, and the use of modern medical technology while fostering teamwork among skilled healthcare professionals. Technicians play an important role in delivering timely test results and supporting positive patient outcomes throughout the community. This well-rounded laboratory environment offers hands-on experience in clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology and immunology, urinalysis, blood banking, and phlebotomy.

Reporting to the Laboratory Director and collaborating with the Pathologist, the Clinical Laboratory Technician will receive support from experienced laboratory colleagues, friendly nurses, physicians, and a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include conducting chemical analyses of body fluids, completing high-complexity testing, evaluating abnormal findings, verifying questionable specimens or results, performing blood typing and compatibility testing, and documenting and communicating critical values. The Medical Laboratory Technician will also be responsible for operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing reagents, performing quality assurance checks, managing laboratory supplies, and ensuring timely follow-up on pending test results and outstanding reports.

The Medical Lab Tech will identify patients accurately, label specimens correctly, respond promptly to STAT and timed testing, enter clinical results into the laboratory information system, and maintain compliance with safety, infection prevention, confidentiality, hospital policy, and applicable Colorado and federal regulations. Qualified candidates will hold an associate degree in Medical Technology, American Society for Clinical Pathology certification, and current Basic Life Support certification; previous laboratory experience is preferred.
