Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Medical Lab Technician to join our Issaquah, WA team. This role supports specimen testing, instrument operation, QC, and timely reporting of results, with a focus on accuracy and patient care.

The position requires an Associate degree in Life Science or Medical Technology certification (ASCP or AMT) and the ability to work a weekend/evening schedule, with potential overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents/controls and report results promptly.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Assist with processing specimens when needed.

LabCorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to join our team in Issaquah, WA.

Work Schedule: Saturday-Tuesday 9:30PM- 8:00AM including rotating holidays.

Job Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology ASCP or AMT certification

Pay Range

Pay Range: $27.91 - $41.93 per hour Plus 3rd shift differential All job offers will bebased on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21.

• Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.0333) hours of sick leave for each hour of work) capped at 64 hours per year, Tuition Reimbursement and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
