Job summary
Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin is hiring a Medical Technologist-Reg or Medical Laboratory Technician-Reg at Capitol Clinic Laboratory. Full-time, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with occasional weekends and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.
The MT/MLT Performs tests in Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis with strong QC and tech support responsibilities across locations. Requirements include BS in Medical Technology or related science, ASCP/AMT MT or equivalent certifications, CPR within 4 months,
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related science required.
- ASCP/AMT MT or Technologist certifications required or ASCP in Microbiology/Chemistry/Hematology with MT/MLT credentials.
- CPR/AED certification within 4 months of employment.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and HIPAA.
- Ability to perform accurate lab testing and QC.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service with diverse patients.
- On-call every other week and own transportation to sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform lab tests in Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis as ordered.
- Conduct quality control, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Collect specimens and support staff across GHC-SCW sites.
- Provide technical support to MTs, staff, and providers.
