Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology or chemistry/biology.
• MLS or categorical certification or completion of categoricals from MLS program.
• Foreign-educated candidates must provide credential evaluation.
• Phlebotomy competency where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing accurately and timely per policies and standards.
• Monitor abnormal results and document deviations; ensure test accuracy.
• Monitor inventory and aid financial data for department.
• Train staff and participate in committees or special projects.
• Provide educational information to internal and external customers.
• Process and prepare patient samples including collection and handling.
