Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona (SQL/LSA) seeks a highly skilled laboratory professional in Casper, WY. The role emphasizes advanced testing, compliance with CLIA/CAP/JCAHO, and leadership in absence of on-site management.

Responsibilities include accurate test performance, problem solving, inventory oversight, and staff training. The position requires MLS/MT or categorical certification and phlebotomy competency where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology or chemistry/biology with eligible certification.
• MLS or categorical certification OR school certificate documenting completion of categoricals.
• Certification must be maintained in NV/CA where applicable.
• Foreign credentials require IERF evaluation or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy competency demonstrated where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing accurately and on time per policies and standards.
• Monitor abnormal results and ensure test result accuracy.
• Assist in inventory control and provide financial data for dept.
• Participate in department projects, training, and competency assessments.
• Provide educational information to internal and external customers; participate in staff meetings.
• May collect and process patient samples with correct identification and integrity.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology

Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science

Phlebotomy competency

Strong written and verbal communication
