Job summary

McFarland Clinic is seeking qualified individuals for MLT/MT/MLS roles at Story County offices. You will obtain and process specimens and perform routine and advanced lab procedures while upholding quality control and instrument maintenance standards.

Requires an Associate or Bachelor’s in Medical/Clinical Lab Science, ASCP certification or eligibility, and BLS. Prior lab experience is preferred; candidates may float across Story County locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Medical/Clinical Lab Science from an accredited college or institution.
• Certification/licensure: ASCP MT/MLS, ASCP MLT, CLS (NCA) or eligibility for certification.
• Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
• 1 year clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and process blood, urine and other specimens.
• Perform routine and advanced laboratory procedures.
• Perform quality control, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Assist in orientation of new employees.
• Float for Story County network offices.
