Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking a Med Tech/Lab Tech for the 2nd/3rd shift in the main campus off-site laboratory. You will perform a full range of diagnostic tests, ensure sample quality, and apply clinical laboratory science principles to deliver timely results.

You may collect samples and support regulatory inspections. The role requires an Associate's degree in medical technology or equivalent, with a preferred Bachelor's in a related field.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in medical technology or military medical lab procedures required/considered.
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biologic or clinical laboratory science or medical technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of diagnostic tests and laboratory services.
• Ensure sample suitability and stability; may collect samples.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance, prepare for inspections.
• Utilize laboratory test ordering systems and reference procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and stock supplies; coordinate peer communication.
