Job summary

The Medical Lab Technician/UKHC will assist in pre-analytical support for a fast-paced academic medical center. The Laboratory provides services to all aspects of the Level I trauma center and throughout the healthcare enterprise, including solid organ and bone marrow transplant, KY Children’s Hospital, and Markey Cancer Center.

Qualifications

• At least 60 hours of college credit completed.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-analytical support for the laboratory.
• Process and throughput of patient specimens and general lab receipt.
• Provide support to other clinical laboratories within the enterprise.
• Deliver customer service to internal and external customers.
