Job summary

UofL Health's Mary and Elizabeth Hospital Laboratory is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician in Louisville, KY. The role supports patient care by performing tests and ensuring compliance with CLIA, CAP, AABB, FDA, and Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required to meet CLIA certification standards.
• Minimum one year of lab experience preferred.
• Medical Technologist certification (MLT ASCP or AMT) or CLIA-qualified as MLT required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for specimen handling, acceptability, processing, test analyses, reporting and records.
• Analyze patient samples according to approved standards.
• Report STATS or critical results to providers.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Maintain quality control and calibration records.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and safety compliance.
