Job Title: Medical Lab Technician/UKHC

Salary Range: $19.00-30.09/hour

Required License/Registration/Certification: None

Physical Requirements: Regularly standing or walking with objects up to 10 lbs., repetitive motion and utilizing a computer for long periods of time. Ability to traverse campus to work at multiple locations.

Shift: This position is located in a department that operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. The position will have a primary shift to be determined by the department. However, the candidate must be available to possibly work rotating weekends and other shifts as needed by the department.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-analytical support for a fast-paced academic medical center.
• Provide general laboratory receipt, processing, and throughput of patient specimens while adhering to HIPAA requirements.
• Provide support to all other clinical laboratories within the Enterprise and offer customer service for internal and external customers.
• Problem-solve, troubleshoot, and multi-task in a team-oriented environment.
• Support the Central Processing/Receiving department and the Emergency Department Laboratory.
